October, 10 2007: Quarktet releases Tria Image Processing, Version 2.0.  Tria V2.0 features a faster interface, faster processing, more features, and the best higher-bit image viewer.

August, 17 2007: Quarktet discovers an unpublished paper on the thermoelastic and ablative generation of ultrasound in composite materials.
July, 26 2007: New research on the ultrasonic deflection and displacement of an optical beam (i.e. GCLAD) is presented at the QNDE conference in Golden, Colorado.
February, 19 2007: Quarktet welcomes the addition of Eva Caron to our team!

January 4, 2007: The Tria Demonstration Program reaches 500 downloads.

June 23, 2006: The Tria Demonstration Program reaches 250 downloads.

June 7, 2006: Alien face discovered in the x-ray of a duck.  Although this event has no association with my company, we received over 13,000 web hits on the topic.  Any publicity  is good publicity.

January 18, 2006: President James Caron featured in Radiations as a "Hidden Physicist".  Radiations is the official publication of Sigma Pi Sigma, the national physics honor society.

January 10, 2006: The Tria Demonstration Program reaches 100 downloads.
September 30, 2005: We are happy to announce the official release of the Tria Image Processing Program.  This is the first and only program that uses the patented SeDDaRA blind deconvolution process. 

February 24, 2005: Quarktet welcomes the addition of Cole Caron to our team!

February 22, 2005: U.S. Patent Office awards a patent for the SeDDaRA blind deconvolution process (finally!). See the official press release here.

May 15, 2004: Research Support Instruments of Lanham, MD, is awarded two grants to study the application of SeDDaRA to multi-frame sequences.

June 1, 2004: Research Support Instruments of Lanham, MD, is awarded a research grant to study the implementation of a portable GCLAD system.

January 28, 2004: The SeDDaRA restoration of an image showing the microwave radiation of the universe is awarded Imaging Solution of the Year by Advanced Imaging Magazine for 2004. The image can be seen in the Gallery. See the official press release here.

October 9, 2003: Quarktet obtains full ownership of the GCLAD patent! The patent was the property of the University of Delaware, where the technique was invented. In September, the University agreed to transfer ownership to Dr. James N. Caron, president of Quarktet and one of the co-inventors. This enables Quarktet to directly negotiate licensing agreements and research contracts with interested parties. Interested parties should Contact us.

January  8, 2003: GCLAD listed as one of the "Innovations and emerging technologies in Bassoon" on the Adeovaleo Website.      

November 11, 2002: Quarktet welcomes the addition of Luke Caron to our team. 

November 10, 2002: Applied Optics, Vol. 26(15) publishes article on SeDDaRA Restoration entitled "Noniterative blind data restoration by use of an extracted filter function."  See Research .


June 15, 2002: Quarktet celebrates the Stanley Cup victory of the Detroit Red Wings.  All employees are  given the day off.

February 27, 2002: Quarktet launches the official company website.  The website provides common information for web surfers and in-depth descriptions of our technologies for our target customers. 

Jan. 15, 2002: Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation, Vol. 17 , publishes a review about GCLAD, entitled "Overview Ultrasound Sensing using Gas-coupled Laser Acoustic Detection."  See Research .


Jan. 5, 2002: 'Strange Cork' becomes 'Quarktet, Inc.' to celebrate our newest technology, the blind deconvolution algorithm designated SeDDaRA.


Nov. 1, 2001:  Laser Focus World publishes World News article on SeDDaRA, based on August's article in Optics Letters. See Research .


August 15, 2001: Optics Letters, Vol. 26(15) publishes first article on SeDDaRA entitled "Blind data restoration with an extracted filter function."  See Research .


March 21, 2000: U. S. Patent, number 6,041,020, is issued, entitled "Gas-coupled laser acoustic detection"  assigned to the University of DelawareSee Research .
